Boat tour on the Main

As part of our cultural event series, we cordially invite all early-career researchers at RMU to join us for a boat tour on the Main River! The tour begins at the “Eiserner Steg” in the city center and passes along the beautifully landscaped banks of the Main and the European Central Bank. After a detour to Frankfurt’s Osthafen, the boat will turn around in front of the historic Gerbermühle and cruise through the city, past the skyline and the Museumsufer toward the Westhafen and the Griesheim lock. Commentaries on the most important sights will be given in German and in English.
The event will take place on Thursday, May 28, 2026. We will meet at 3:30 p.m., right by the river, at the “Eiserner Steg” bridge on the Frankfurt side (same side as the Römer).
Please note that the number of participants is limited to 21.
Participation is free of charge! Food/drinks are not included.
