The Equal Opportunities Office and GRADE have created an online brochure for early career researchers at Goethe University who are already parents, who will become parents, or who take on caregiving responsibilities for close relatives in some other way. The information brochure is intended to contribute to a better balancing of academic career and family. It offers all (expectant) parents initial assistance with their questions about pregnancy and childcare.

The brochure provides early career researchers with children with an overview of the current legal provisions on the topics of parenthood and care. It gathers information on municipal services for parents and on the infrastructure for early career researchers at Goethe University's campus locations. This offer includes tips on parental leave, parental allowance and child allowances, which can differ significantly depending on the type of funding, as well as a roadmap that provides an overview of the many requirements before and after pregnancy.
