GRADE Rechtswissenschaft (Law)
Objective
The GRADE Center for Law has set up a fund to support doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers in all aspects and areas of the law. Funding is available for activities related to the projects of doctoral and habilitation candidates in the Faculty of Law. Specifically, the following can be granted:
- travel funds for archive and library trips
- funds for conferences, workshops, and congresses
- grants for conducting workshops, lecture series, or for inviting guest speakers
A condition of application for doctoral candidates is that they must be accepted as doctoral candidates at the Faculty of Law (§ 5 of the Faculty’s Doctoral Regulations); this also applies to the scientific staff employed by the Faculty who are undertaking doctoral studies.
Habilitation candidates who are employed at the Faculty may also submit applications.
The purpose of the trip, or other requests, must be described in the application with reference to the applicant’s doctoral or habilitation project. The anticipated costs are to be listed.
Applications must be submitted informally to the Dean of the Faculty of Law (Dean of the Faculty of Law, Goethe University, Theodor-W.-Adorno-Platz 4, 60629 Frankfurt am Main).
